Note: Rates appear a week later. Expect week ending 1/2 rates by Sat 1/8
Note**: LA County began providing fully vaccinated data on 11/6/2021
Note***: (11/9/2021) Population now uses 2020 Census data, which lowers some above %s. Caveat: City Council will appeal 1547 ppl as an error.
Note****: Only older teens, 16-17 yo, can receive booster shots.

The case rates in the community (above) and school (below) indelibly correlate, especially when RBUSD has determined that cases have not originated on campus (note that the timelines are different).

*Note that RBUSD case rates are current confirmed cases, not new daily cases like for the LAUSD/city/county. The dashboard does not distinguish new vs existing cases, so I cannot calculate the same rate. Therefore, the RBUSD per 100k rate will always be much higher than the city/county. However, you can at least know the net daily changes by subtracting the current from prior day #, which carries yet again its own caveat: if two consecutive days is the same 27, as it did Wed 8/25 - Thur 8/26, there could have been 2 new cases but 2 cases that no longer are active.
**LAUSD no longer reports the per 100k rate for the district - just per community.
